Ordering From Gate 3 Motorcycles LTD

Gate 3 aims to make ordering as simple and efficient as possible. There are two ways to place your order:

All orders will be processed at time of receipt.

Any order received is deemed valid and the Terms and Conditions detailed herein therefore apply.

In order to expedite delivery, We operate on a ‘real time’ basis and Customer orders are passed for packing immediately following processing. It is not therefore possible to ‘add’ to an order after it has been passed to us for processing.

 

Steps For Order Acceptance

The steps required to order product from Gate 3 are as follows:

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items that you may wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection click on the confirm order button at the end of the checkout process. You will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

Non acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following and will be notified at time of order placement:

The product ordered being unavailable from stock

The identification of a pricing or product description error

The customer not satisfying any credit check Gate 3 may carry out

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch and Maestro. You may send your credit card information over the internet or by phone.

 

Carriage

Gate 3's despatch system does not allow orders to be appended. Each order received must therefore meet the minimum carriage paid criteria and will be despatched and invoiced separately.

In order to maintain the high level of service demanded by our Customers, and with ever increasing freight charges, it is important to cover the carriage costs on low value transactions, avoiding any further impact upon product pricing.

 

Shipping and Handling UK Mainland

Orders with a value under and including £5 - Carriage cost £1.50p

Orders with a value £5.01p to £15 - Carriage cost £2.50p

Orders with a value £15.01 to £25 - Carriage cost £3.50p

Orders with a value £25.01 to £74.99p - Carriage cost £4.99p

All orders £75 and over Free carriage (UK mainland only)

N.I, Isle of Mann and Scottish Islands upto 2kg £6.99 upto 30kg £16.45

Guernsey, Jersey and Southern Ireland Next Day 1-2KG £6.99 2-3 Days upto 30KG’s £14.99

Please note carriage charges may change through the year due to fluctuation in prices from carriers worldwide.

BFPO nil VAT can only be accepted if the order is accompanied by form 77-388-CEE available from your C.O

 

Delivery

Every attempt is made to deliver by the next working day, for all orders of goods in stock received no later than 2pm. Unfortunately, it is not possible to provide this level of service for those of our Customers in more remote regions or islands of the United Kingdom and Ireland, where a three day delivery service generally prevails. Equally, due to erratic daily demands during peak season, we may not always be able to maintain our levels of service but rest assured of our commitment to despatch as quickly as possible.

Gate 3 does not accept any liability for late delivery.

Customer orders are always accompanied by a Gate 3 invoice. This includes cost details & will list the products.

The despatch note details the suggested retail price where one exists, which may be of assistance when price tagging the order in store.

Delivery will be made by our appointed carriers or by post. Every reasonable effort will be made to execute orders in one consignment. In the event of incomplete availability, subsequent deliveries will be subject to a further carriage charge.

 

Damages, Shortages, Non-Delivery & Price Queries

Gate 3 will not accept any claim in respect of damage in transit, shortage or non-delivery unless it is communicated to the Gate3 Customer Care Team as follows:

  • For damage in transit - within 3 days of the receipt of goods;
  • For shortages - within 3 days of the receipt of goods;
  • For non-delivery - within 10 days of the date of the invoice.
  • For Price Queries - within 3 days of the receipt of invoice.

No deduction from the payment of invoices may be made for goods damaged, not received or where there is a price dispute, until we have issued a credit note.

If all or part of a consignment is refused due to damage, the sales team must be notified immediately. Damaged parcels received by post should not be refused, but accepted and the Sales Team notified immediately.

Please contact Gate 3 Sales Team to obtain a Customer Returns Number (CRN).

The issuing of a CRN, instruction to return products or arrangements for the collection of products are made without prejudice and in no way should be construed as an acceptance of liability.

Please remember that we carry a comprehensive range of spares, many of which are not listed. In numerous instances Gate 3 are able to prevent the need to return a product by the issue of spares to fix the product.

The Sales Team includes personnel who can advise Customers of spares available.

In order to ensure that Gate 3 are always able to identify who returns are from, please always enclose with the returns, a note clearly stating your Customer Returns Number, name, address & telephone number. Please include a report listing the reasons why each of the products is being returned.

The Sales Team must be notified in writing with the returned products should the reason for return relate to a consumer claim for damages.

Products returned without full customer and product details or sent to the incorrect address can obviously not be dealt with promptly and delays will occur.

If accepted as faulty, products will be replaced or credited within 14 working days of receipt. Credits will only be issued where replacement parts are not available.

Products which Gate 3 do not believe to have been purchased from ourselves will be rejected unless proof of purchase can be provided.

At Gate 3 we retain at least 2 years of sales history by customer and are able to verify all purchases during this period, where necessary.

When a credit is issued they will be at the price prevailing at the time of purchase.

No member of Gate 3 personnel is empowered to offer replacement parts or credit other than the Sales Team, and then only after thorough examination by the Warranty Department.
Please do not embarrass them by asking.

It is the responsibility of the customer to meet the cost of returning warranty goods & is allowed for within Gate 3's original pricing. This policy has been adopted to negate abuse of this service and the subsequent costs which Gate 3 would then have to pass on to all of our customers.

We will as always, reimburse the customer for the cost of returning products, where proven that the cause for return is due to error or negligence on the part of Gate 3 at the time of processing or despatch.

All returns are examined to the specifications laid down by the original suppliers of each brand. Failure to meet their criteria would obviously negate any credit and impact upon product pricing.

Gate 3 shall not in any event be liable for any indirect, special or consequential damages howsoever arising including but not limited to financial loss or loss of profits in connection with or arising out of the supply, failure to supply, functioning or use of the products. Gate 3 shall not be liable for any damage caused to third party property arising from the functioning or use of the products.

Gates 3 are not responsible for any labour chargers incurred during the fitment or removal of suspected faulty or incorrectly supplied parts. (This does not affect your statuary rights)

With special orders or where goods have been made to a customer’s specification we must reserve the right refuse cancellation, and refunds and reductions of the handling charge will be made at our discretion

Specifications

Gate 3 reserve the right to modify specifications of goods according to the supply position and Gate 3's ongoing desire to improve the specification.

 

Pricing

Gate 3 reserves the right to alter prices without prior notice. Orders are accepted on the basis of prices ruling upon the day of despatch. This applies irrespective of any prices a Customer may quote on their order or that may be listed at time of receipt of order.

From time to time Gate 3 may make special promotions available to its web Customers. Any prices which apply to these promotions are only available on orders submitted to Gate 3 within the terms & before the Closing Date detailed thereupon. For the majority of promotions prices apply at date of processing and not the date of

Customers have any queries on invoiced prices or goods received the Customer must contact the Customer Care Team within the timescales detailed under Damages, Shortages, Non Delivery & Price Queries herein.

Every time a cheque, standing order or banker's order fails to clear the Customer’s bank on presentation, Gate 3 will separately surcharge the Customer's account £15.00.

Gate 3 accepts payment via Credit/debit cards: Switch, Solo or Delta. These can be made by phone or fax to Gate 3 Credit Control Department.
Please quote: Account No; Account Name; Invoice numbers being paid; Debit Card type; Expiry Date; Total Amount being paid.

Gate 3 accepts no responsibility for the misappropriation of cheques made out to any other payee. The risk related to posting cheques to Gate 3 lies with the Customer until the cheque has been paid into Gate 3’s bank account and the cheque has been cleared.

Orders placed outside the E.U will be VAT free.

 

Privacy Policy

Gate 3 do not disclose buyers information to third parties other than when order details as processed as part of the order fulfillment. In this case the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Your credit card and personal details are fully protected when a order is placed on our website.

 

Telephone Service

Due to the erratic flow of incoming calls it is impossible for Gate 3 to commit to direct access by telephone at all times.

 

Applicable Law

If any part of these terms and conditions of trade are invalid for any reason, its invalidity does not affect the rest of these terms of trade which will remain valid and enforceable in all respects. These terms of trading shall be construed in accordance with English law and shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

Gate 3's commitment requires that we establish consistent terms and conditions for all of our customers and in this manner we can better assure that we fulfill expectations, avoiding the need for additional service charges to be passed on in the price of the goods.
